but it will also help you determine where you want to go to next.
We have been teaching water sports from Balmoral Windsurfing and Kayaking school for 15 years
and we are now teaching Paddle surfing on the beach at Balmoral Beach and Manly Dam.
We teach to all levels-
After climbing up on a board that’s wider, thicker and lighter than a regular board (this gives you more stability), you grab your paddle and away you go.
Paddle Surfing is an amazing way to coast along calm waters and once you get the hang of it you’ll be catching waves and turning tricks like a pro.
The StandUP School will give you the tuition you need and will provide all the equipment so you can let loose and make the most of our beautiful coastline.
It is not often you can get fit whilst having so much fun!!

- 1 hour private lesson
- 1 hour hire to improve your skills or try different boards

Swans, Kookaburra's, Water dragons and Wallabies are all watching as you glide across this pristine body of water.
It is a beautiful place to paddle and learn about the natural heritage whilst taking in a new way to get around on top of the water

SURFING
The first rule of Paddle Surfing is that - it is easier than it looks on flat water and harder than it looks in the waves.
The second rule of Paddle Surfing is DON'T BE A KOOK! Get your skills RIGHT UP or take a lesson before heading out into the waves!

Wether you want to paddles for fitness, cruise our waterways or get into waves, you need to start out on flat water.
Many of us would like to go straight out into ocean, but anyone with experience will tell you it is best to spend a many sessions on FLAT WATER before you go into the surf.

After a big day paddle surfing you’ll need to refuel with some good food and the beauty about popping into the Balmoral Boatshed Kiosk is that you don’t even leave the beach.The kiosk has everything to fill your tummy.
