Ideal for chasing powder and steep lines
Combining Hybrid technology with a big mountain profile, this snowboard excels in any terrain. A coreless tail allows for increased sinking without sacrificing stiffness, while Tapered UnderBite provides exceptional directional drive and float.
DESIGNED FOR: Intermediate - Expert / All-Mountain, Pow, Backcountry
SHAPE: Directional
FLEX: 4/5: HMedium medium
BASE: Sintered
CAMBER PROFILE: Directional CamRock
BINDING MOUNT: 4x2 10-pack + Slambacks
FEATURES:
Directional
A directional snowboard is purposefully shaped for optimal performance in one primary direction, typically with a longer and more pointed nose compared to the tail. This design enhances stability, control, and float in varied conditions, making it particularly well-suited for carving, powder riding, and all-mountain exploration. The asymmetry aids natural turn initiation and provides a more dynamic riding experience when cruising downhill. Suited for riders who prefer a specific orientation for various terrains, a directional snowboard excels in responsiveness, offering a smooth and predictable ride that complements the nuances of specific riding styles and conditions.
CamRock
CamRock is a profile that combines the best of both camber and rocker technologies. The shorter camber section underfoot provides stability and pop, while the rocker in the nose and tail elevates the tips, offering a more forgiving ride and improving float in powder. This design ensures versatility across various terrains. Depending on the specific rocker design, CamRock can be tailored to be directional, enhancing control in one direction, or a twin for a centered profile.
Tapered UnderBite
More floatation and total edge control. Each side of the board’s effective edge is segmented into 3 distinct parts that step horizontally inward rather than tapering. Traditional “tapered boards” take the full sidecut and pull the tail inward, which is away from the arc of your turn. This is why they tend to wash out under hard carving. Tapered UnderBite corrects this by increasing the sidecut depth as you move towards the tail creating a corrective “hook” to the taper. The board blends into turns effortlessly, and has the directional drive and float you’d expect from a tapered board.
Surge core: Poplar / Paulownia with 2 x Center Bamboo Struts
Features 50%Poplar and 50%Paulownia 20 mm strips with 2 center bamboo struts, perfect for large tips and tails. Poplar offers lightweight consistency and flex, while Paulownia provides strength with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. Bamboo adds durability and responsiveness. This combination ensures optimal weight reduction, responsiveness, and performance.
Triax Glass
Triaxial or "Triax" fiberglass on a snowboard refers to a fiberglass construction where the fibers run in three directions— usually along the length of the board and at an angle. This configuration adds torsional stiffness to the board, enhancing its overall stability and responsiveness. Snowboards with triaxial fiberglass tend to have a more precise and controlled feel, making them suitable for riders who prioritize stability at higher speeds, improved edge hold, and better performance in challenging conditions. Triax fiber is often found in snowboards designed for advanced and aggressive riding styles.
Air V Carbon Reenforcement
Introducing Air V: True biaxial aerospacial carbon fiber stringers create a dynamic V-shape extending from the front insert pack to the board’s contact points. This V design enhances binding response, increases torsional stiffness, and ensures exceptional stability, particularly enhancing float in the nose. Carbon fiber’s remarkable strength-to-weight ratio guarantees responsive stiffness, improved control, pop, and energy transfer. Air V delivers superior performance and responsiveness in every turn.
Sintered Base
Sintered bases are crafted by fusing tiny polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous, durable surface. Known for superior speed and wax absorption, these bases are favoured by advanced riders for their high-performance capabilities in various snow conditions.
